The wait is over, 4.0.3 Has been Released
And this time HOPEFULLY without the 10 different uploads I've had to end up doing the last 2 times I tried to release a piece of software.
This time I THINK (hope) I have everything in the release that needs to be there.
This one is a general bugfix release with a good 15 - 20 different bug fixes and minor feature updates. Everyone will probably want to upgrade to this guy. Those of you still on 3.x, now's the time to start looking at upgrading over to 4.x before I decide to start dropping support for the 3.x line of softare. I already don't have a testing version for 3.x anymore and 4.0 is becomming stable enough and feature rich enough that upgrading is going to become something you'll need to do eventualy.
Thanks to everyone over the last several (many) weeks (months) who have posted issues and worked with me through problems with the 4.0.2 release.
HOPEFULLY this will be a last 4.0.x release and I can move to 4.1 quickly with many new features and enhancements. I suspect, if 4.0.3 performs like I feel it will, and doesn't give me major headaches, that it's likely to be out for a while (few months at least) before I start streaming out the new features in the 4.1 line.

Back with a potentially HUGE fix for the system: TRUE Multi-Byte Support
- Click Here -In working through the above thread I may just have come up with the solution to the multi-byte character problems WRM has been experiencing for YEARS. There will likely still be DISPLAY problems througout the app, but if I'm right, I've just fixed any major problems regarding failures due to multi-byte issues.
This is a huge step toward a true UTF8 aware application.
I'll keep everyone posted.

Limited Support: 5/21 - 5/26
It's that time of year again...the time my family and I drive to Grandma's house (over the river and through the woods...) in Colorado to spend a few weeks.
During this time, however, I cannot guarantee how much support will be coming out for WRM. PLEASE be patient with me, I have NOT abandoned the project and I DO care about your issue, I'm just unavailable for a while.
After 5/26, support will be on and off (generally good during the weekdays, as usual during the weekends) for the next 2 weeks and will again drop off from 6/8 - 6/10...where my schedule returns to normal.
Again, please be patient, I will get to everyone's support requests as soon as I can.

More Patches to 4.0.2 Released
Quick update: There are a few more patches to the 4.0.2 version of WRM4 avaialble in the support forum.
You can, as always, visit the "Current Patches" post (sticked at the top, green icon) for the most up to date information on patches available for WRM.
The two new patches available fix issues with the Armory code as well as add enhancements to the armory for easier debugging, as well as a small patch to fix allowing guilds to be deleted and edited from the guilds section.

WRM v4.0.2 Released, Full Bugfix update to 4.0
WRM 4.0.2 has been released. This is a bugfix update consolidating all of the bugfixes that have been reported by my guild and the users of this community in the last few weeks.
Thanks to all of you for sticking with me on this and for your patience with the issues. This release represents the last of the known bugs with the major features (there is a possible issue with the armory lookup for realms with spaces in them, but that too is being looked at) and my confidence level in the software is relatively high. There have been no reports of issues with the upgrade path beteen either 3.6.x or Beta1 and the most recent version so it's likely that that too is no issue.
For those of you hesitant to try out 4.0, I HIGHLY recommend moving to the new software. As mentioned in the past I will not be supporting 3.6.x for much longer. Support for new features (i.e. adding new updates and bugfixes to 3.6.1) has been officially stopped, all new features and bugfixes will be rolled into 4.0 and beyond. The 3.6.x release will be sticking around for a while yet as I roll more and more features into 4.0, however when 4.0 reaches a level of completion I desire, I will be dropping most of the support for 3.6 entirely.
The 3.6 code base is, comparitively, a nightmare to the 4.0 code base and the sooner I can get off the mistakes that are inherent in 3.6, the better my support will likely be.
I realize many of you like the simplicity of 3.6 and I've even heard some users be worried that 4.0 will be a behemoth of features while loosing much of the current useability. I am here to assure you that the feature set you know and love in 3.6 will not be changing in 4.0. One of the things I'm happyiest with about this software is the way it handles scheduling. However, I have always felt the product was incomplete with what it could become. I assure you that all of the "new" features I intend to add will be there to either make the product more useable (re-write of configuration and permissions sections) or will be available to optionally use or optionally not use. The base raid manager will, at heart, stay the same.

New WebHost Information
So as most of you know by now, we're on a new host. I'm sure most of you are seeing a significant speed increase.
The host is nice, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited disk space usage, pretty much "do anything you want with few restrictions." However, that doesn't mean "no" restrictions.
There is one major limitation: CPU. There is a per minute CPU limit that is configured for every account on the new host. This is how they manage to keep cheap costs while managing to provide a fast service. I have actually seen this CPU bound hit once when doing some WIKI edits.
If you get a screen pop up that says we've reached our CPU boundry limitations, don't worry, within the next minute the limits are reset and all will be well.
HOWEVER this doesn't mean keep hitting the refresh button till the page comes up, this only exacerbates the problem. Please go get a cup of coffee, take a quick break and try again a couple minutes later...this will help make sure we don't CONSTANTLY run into issues.
If you are CONSISTANTLY running into the CPU problem please post in the support forum, send me a PM or, worst case scenario, send an e-mail. At the moment I have 2 fair traffic websites running on this same host (my guild website and this website, both sites have several hundred users on them and are active). I will also be adding 2 - 3 more minor sites to the host as well (consolidating my wife's 2 low traffic business sites and our low traffic family website to the same host).
If this starts to become a problem with 5 sites off the same host (I don't expect it to since the other 3 sites use static webpages and should take literally 0 CPU time to render, especially with cache) I will start looking at other solutions...however I will warn everyone right now I DO NOT have the cash to manage 2 - 3 hosting accounts simultaneously.
While I have only seen this issue once, please keep in mind it CAN happen and please do what you can keep your "CPU" presence on the web host to a minimum, and if you do run into this, please "don't panic" and just give it a minute or two and try again.
Thanks in advance.
